La Nduja è conosciuta in quasi tutto il mondo per la sua genuinità e tipicità. Il paese di produzione, per eccellenza è Spilinga (VV) da cui ne prende la denominazione. E' un salume cremoso, facilmente spalmabile, piccante e dal colorito rossastro. Ha consistenza pastosa che non diventa mai dura, anche dopo la stagionatura che ne esalta il sapore ed il profumo caratteristico. La nduja si ottiene dall’impasto di piccoli pezzetti di grasso e di carni suine che vengono tritate molto finemente insieme al peperoncino rosso calabrese (dolce e piccante) essiccato e finemente macinato. Viene venduta in vasetto di vetro da 180 Gr.
