ProSweets Cologne will take place for the fifth time from 29th January to 1st February 2012. The trade fair will present the entire range of products offered by suppliers for the production, processing and packaging of confectionery. Once again, the event will expand its position as the leading sector platform. This year, more than 330 exhibitors from 33 countries are expected to participate on a significantly larger exhibition area. This includes the product areas for Raw Materials and Other Ingredients, Confectionery Packaging and Packaging Technology, Machines and Plants for the Confectionery Industry, and secondary segments such as Food Safety and Quality Management. For the first time, products for the production, processing and packaging of snack items will be on offer.
 
     
 
ProSweets Cologne 2012 at a glance:

ProSweets Cologne 2012 will occupy Hall 10.1 at the Cologne exhibition centre.

In combination with the International Sweets and Biscuits Fair (ISM), ProSweets Cologne presents the confectionery industry’s entire value chain at one location simultaneously.

Until now, 334 exhibitors from 33 countries have registered for ProSweets Cologne, representing a slight increase of two per cent compared to the previous event.

With 136 German suppliers and 198 international suppliers attending, the proportion of exhibitors from abroad represents 60 per cent. ProSweets Cologne thus continues to expand its international scope.

The largest contingents will come from Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Turkey and Switzerland.

What’s more, the trade fair will boast numerous new exhibitors in all product segments.

In addition, further renowned companies will be represented, such asRum Albrecht GmbH, Chr. Hansen GmbH, Loders Croklaan b.v., GNT Europa GmbH, Mantrose UK Limited, HLR Praline, Curt Georgi GmbH & Co. KG, Cesarin S.p.A. and Roha Europe S.L.U.

The key players Norevo GmbH, Capol GmbH and Palsgaard A/S will once again exhibit at ProSweets Cologne.

The supporting programme at this year’s ProSweets Cologne will focus on “Raw Materials/Ingredients” as well. The ProSweets Cologne Conference on Ingredients, organized in cooperation with Herbertz Dairy Food Service, will focus on the raw materials stevia as well as milk and whey products, addressing the potential they offer for innovation in confectionery production.
